If you haven’t seen the site this sneak peak uploaded to Youtube to promote the website before its public launch will give you an idea what’s in-store for you once you go their site. But like the title says Pottermore is officially open to the so if you haven’t signed up yet –what are you waiting for? Aren’t you curious to find out which house the sorting hat will place you? Or what type of wand you’ll get? I was one of the lucky few that got accepted for the beta testing man its was fun. A little history on the site you may have a few FAQ hopefully I will address those in a moment. Pottermore’s content is based off books from “ The Harry Potter series”.
*To avoid overtaxing the servers the site is activating a handful of accounts at a time, so you might have to wait awhile before you can get sorted into your house and step into the immersive environment of Hogwarts.
*User names are generated by the site so what you get is what use, this I believe is to avoid users from getting too over creative with the user-names or having a million variations of the main cast real and character’s name.
*The site also promises “exclusive new content from J.K. Rowling,” reportedly including 18,000 words of background material filling out the books’ characters and settings. For newbies, Pottermore will sell e-book and audiobook versions of the series.
