What if all you knew about fairy tales was wrong?I have always wondered why you never asked about my name. Was I so superficial to you? So stereotypical and mundane? Why did you treat me as if I were just the monster of the week? You know what I think? You never had the time to really hate me. You wanted to hate me, long before you even met me. You wanted to scrape my existence and avenge your childhood princess by laying all blame on me. What if they didn’t call me the Evil Queen, what if I told you the real story from my point of view instead of hers, would you ever think of me as an angel? Could I ever make you care?
I know that deep inside of you, you adore me,but you’re just scared, afraid to admit how much you love the Snow White Queen. This Grimm Diaries Prequels are a number of short books in the form of epistolary diary entries. The diaries are more of teasers for the upcoming series: The Grimm Diaries, allowing you to get a glimpse of what to expect of the series.Series Description:The Grimm Diaries is a book with pages made of sand where fairy tale characters confessed the true stories altered by the Brothers Grimm two centuries ago. To keep the truth about fairy tales hidden, the Grimm Diaries were buried in the dreams of immortals to never be found again. But every one hundred years, the diaries will be read by a human again. Only once.
Every diary is written by a different fairy tale character who still lives among us. It’s already 200 hundred years since 1812, when the first Bothers Grimm book was written. And it’s only him or her who reads the diaries who has the choice expose the truth or prefer to keep it lost forever. This time the choice might be yours.
List of the available Grimm Diaries Prequels:

Grimm diaries
This is prequel that gives you a glimpse of what is to come in Snow White Sorrow coming out in October. Sort of a back story on some of the characters that appear in the series. This story however focuses on the Snow White Queen’s point of view. Her character is wonderful wicked and a mix of contradictions. We get the sense she been through some stuff. It’s in the way she carries herself, the way she speaks hints at the unspoken tragedy in her life. It made her more interesting and I wanted to know more about here.
Snow is painted as a monster which is so different from the version we all know about her. Because no matter how many times the story is retold Snow White is always portrayed as this wholesome girl who was victimised by her evil stepmother the evil Queen. So I like the fact that this version is darker and promises to be filled with complex well formed characters. As well as a compelling story filled with the child hood characters from our storybooks. But like we have never seen them cast in such a different light we hardly recognize these characters. The prequel is only 20 pages still it was a nice tease and it made me excited to read the book even more. I do wish there had been some pages but that why its a teaser I guess.
My only problem was the 99 cents you have to pay for each prequel, which only had 20-25 pages that’s a bit much considering the same 99 cents can get a full book with plus hundred pages. If the prequels were free and the collection of Grimm diaries (yes there is three ) were 99 cents then it would be worth it. But to get the individual free you need to be an Amazon Prime member and even then its a borrow. Don’t get me wrong paying for the ebook its not the issue here, but I wouldn’t feel so slighted for paying the 99 cents if they bundled the three stories together or added more pages in the prequels. But I regardless of that negative aspect. I can’t wait to read this book in October.
