This week’s Question/Activity
What were some of your favorite picture books as a kid? If you have kids, what are your favorites to read to them?
Oh man I don’t think I can remember that far but I do have copies of two Dr Seuss. That were old and worn. I loved them but gave donate them to my nephew last year.
The Cat in The Hat by Dr Seuss
Green Eggs And Hams by Dr Seuss

Just a girl mad about books and loves to talk about them. I read, and blog about books. I also review books on YouTube, I watch a lot of Youtube videos. I’m obsessed with HGTV design make over shows. Fan of Dr Who and so many other tidbits that make me, me.

Hopping through. I’ve never been a Dr Seuss fan, but I’ve always liked Green Eggs and Ham.

I’ve been putting together a banned picture books display at work this week, and I’ve discovered SO MANY ridiculous reasons for banned/challenged books.
My absolute favorite (in terms of silliness) was “Green Eggs & Ham.” Someone decided it was a metaphor for homosexual seduction. Apparently, “Would you could you on a boat?” is a sexual proposition, as is “would you could you with a goat?” (bestiality). AND, another breakfast item – other than eggs & ham – is breakfast sausage, which is phallic. That’s REALLY what Sam was asking his young friend about. Duh.
It’s #12 on this list:

Anyway, here’s my FF if you’re interested!:

That the silliest thing I have heard. What a reason to ban a book I can’t image six year old thinking that. Thanks for hopping by.
