In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi the story siren featuring books we either purchased in physical store, online, or received for review. This week I purchased only two books trying to cut back on the book buying, BEA is coming up gotta start saving for that. Besides like most bookies I have the problem of too many books not enough shelves. Any-who February is Black History Month— so in honor this is what I got Tyrell by Coe Booth, she won an award for it. On another note to celebrate Black history month I’m having my second annual “Black Reads” sorry if the title is not very PC but black reads covers a board spectrum. And giving it a specification like black authors for example would pigeon hole it gearing it only to books by black authors. Instead the title Black reads covers more, books with black characters, subject “the black experience” as well as books by black authors. I’m a little late with the list this year that’s because I’ve being feeling like crap spite up then run over by a Mac truck lately. The second book is a debut Ditched by Robin Mellom. So what did you get in your mailbox?
